Six Nail-Care Tips

Six Nail Care Tips

Despite being among the smallest part of the body, nails must be taken care of. Your nails are largely an object of beauty, but they have other uses too.
They protect your fingertips, and sometime can be applied as tools or weapons! You need strong, beautiful healthy nails. Here are simple tips on how to take care of your nails.

1.Trim, cut, or clip your nails regularly to avoid overgrowth, splitting and breakages. Clip all your nails to the same length. Do no trim your nails too much, exposing your cuticles. Use recommended nail clippers for the task.

2.File your nails well after trimming in order to give them a nicely curved shape. File your nails in one direction. Use emery board for this job or a recommended nail file.

3.In case you have weak nails that easily break and split, use a nail hardener. You can buy one from a beauty shop or make one at home using garlic.

4.Do not leave your nails bare. Apply a base coat of nail varnish or polish, followed by an overcoat.

5.Nail polish is not just for aesthetic beauty. Like paint on a house, it also offers protection against scratches and other forms of physical injury. None-frosted nail polish is preferable.

6.Remember, do not allow your nails to get dry, or dehydrated. This will cause them to split or break. Use hand moisturizers especially for your cuticles. Moist nails also appear radiant, glossy, and healthy.

Heavy smoking, especially while directly holding the cigarette butt has a tendency of staining your hands and nails. Avoid it is possible. Smoking generally is unhealthy.

So there you are, with sufficient tips to maintaining your set of finger and toenails. Nail care should not an incident; you must make it a habit to maintain the standards. There is nothing in pedicure and manicure written, “do not try this at home” so you can do your own nails to a reasonable standard or care. Just follow the guidelines.
